Code of Conduct

1. Purpose: This Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behavior expected of all members, staff, volunteers, partners, and representatives of the Taraba Progressive Frontiers Forum (TPFF). It reflects our core values of integrity, accountability, equity, and service to humanity, and is designed to ensure that TPFF operates with the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct at all times.

2. Core Principles: All persons associated with TPFF are expected to uphold the following core principles in all their activities and interactions:

Integrity: Act honestly and transparently in all dealings, avoiding conflicts of interest and misrepresentation.
Accountability: Take responsibility for your actions and decisions, and be willing to be held to account by colleagues, communities, and partners.
Respect: Treat all persons with dignity and respect, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, religion, disability, or political affiliation.
Equity & Inclusion: Actively promote the inclusion of women, youth, persons with disabilities, and other marginalised groups in all TPFF activities.
Professionalism: Maintain high standards of conduct, competence, and commitment in all roles and responsibilities.
Community Ownership: Place the needs, voices, and interests of communities at the centre of all TPFF programs and decisions.

3. Professional Conduct: All TPFF members, staff, and representatives shall:

Carry out their duties diligently, competently, and in accordance with TPFF’s mission and values.
Represent TPFF accurately and positively in all public and private engagements.
Avoid any conduct that could bring TPFF into disrepute or undermine public trust in the organisation.
Disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest promptly and recuse themselves from related decisions.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive organisational, community, and partner information.
Use TPFF resources, including funds, equipment, and information, only for authorized organisational purposes.

4. Respect and Non-Discrimination: TPFF is committed to a working environment free from discrimination, harassment, bullying, and intimidation. All persons associated with TPFF shall:

Treat colleagues, community members, partners, and all other persons with courtesy and respect.
Refrain from any form of discrimination based on gender, age, ethnicity, religion, disability, political opinion, or any other status.
Not engage in or tolerate sexual harassment, verbal abuse, physical intimidation, or any other form of misconduct.
Actively support the full and equal participation of women and girls in all TPFF activities.

5. Safeguarding: TPFF is committed to the safety and protection of all persons, particularly children, women, and vulnerable individuals, who come into contact with our programmes and activities. All TPFF representatives shall:

Cooperate fully with any safeguarding investigation conducted by TPFF or relevant authorities.

Never engage in behaviour that could harm, exploit, or abuse any community member, beneficiary, or vulnerable person.

Report any safeguarding concerns immediately to the designated TPFF Safeguarding Officer.
