Community Leaders Commend TPFF’s Grassroots Engagement Model

Community leaders from across Taraba State have publicly praised the Taraba Progressive Frontiers Forum for its highly inclusive and transparent approach to grassroots community engagement. At a well-attended forum held in Wukari, traditional rulers, ward development committee leaders, women’s group representatives, and youth leaders gathered to share their experiences working with TPFF on various community development initiatives. Speaker after speaker highlighted how TPFF’s consultation model — which requires extensive community needs assessments before any programme is designed or implemented — ensures that the voices of ordinary community members genuinely shape every intervention. One district head noted that unlike many organisations that arrive with pre-packaged solutions, TPFF takes time to listen, learn, and co-create with communities. Several leaders also commended TPFF’s commitment to gender inclusivity, noting that women and youth are consistently given meaningful roles in programme design and governance structures. The forum concluded with a resolution by community leaders to deepen their collaboration with TPFF and to mobilise local resources in support of ongoing initiatives across the state.
